Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 1 August 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using ATS Mate. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP may result in account suspension or termination.

2. Permitted Use

ATS Mate is designed to help individuals create ATS-optimized resumes and track job applications. You may use the platform to:

  • Create, edit and store your own resumes
  • Export resumes as PDF for personal job applications
  • Share resume links with potential employers or career advisors
  • Track your job applications

3. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

3.1 Security & Infrastructure

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system or network
  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems without written authorisation
  • Circumvent rate limits, bot protection, CSRF tokens or other security controls
  • Execute denial-of-service attacks or flood requests
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the service

3.2 Content

  • Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable
  • Submit false or misleading information in resumes shared through our platform (your resume content is your responsibility)
  • Upload viruses, malware or any harmful code
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others

3.3 Abuse & Automation

  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or bans
  • Use automated scripts, bots or crawlers to access the service beyond the intended API
  • Resell, redistribute or white-label the service without written permission
  • Use ATS Mate to spam employers with mass-generated resumes

4. Responsible Disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly via our security.txt contact instead of exploiting it. We appreciate responsible researchers and will not take legal action against good-faith reports.

5. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • A warning via email
  • Temporary suspension of your account
  • Permanent termination of your account
  • Reporting to law enforcement where required

We reserve the right to remove or disable content or access at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except where immediate action is required to protect the service or other users.

6. Changes

We may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days’ notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
